Marinview Firewise Community

Marin Wildfire and Southern Marin Fire Department are partnering with Marinview Community Association to help harden homes in early 2026.

What is being offered

Participating households are eligible for a 10% discount on fire resistant mesh to retrofit vents and enclose decks from embers. In addition, participants are eligible to receive up to $350 in direct assistance to help cover costs of materials and installation.

This retrofit is one of the most affordable and effective ways to harden your home against an ember storm.

Attend our fun & informative open house event on April 18, 2026, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at the Tam Valley Community Center.

Representatives from Marin Wildfire, Southern Marin Fire Department, Fire Safe Marin, and United Policy Holders will share details about how Marinview can benefit from participating in our mesh program, as well as answering your questions on wildfire preparedness.

Program Eligibility

You are eligible for our program offerings if you are a resident of the Marinview Firewise Community and have had a full exterior Defensible Space Inspection in 2026.

Inspections are starting March 31. If you are not available to grant access to inspectors, please follow the directions in your notification email to sign a "right of entry" form to allow access.
