This project includes the planning, environmental compliance, and implementation of a prescribed burn in a key area between San Rafael and Novato for the purposes of reducing fuels and returning project area woodlands to a state consistent with a natural fire regime. Project activities will include complying with CEQA; creating a prescribed burn plan according to the California Standardized Prescribed Burn Plan Template; acquiring necessary permits, including a permit from Bay Area Air Quality Management District; pre-burn site preparation; and project implementation. Environmental compliance for this project is not yet complete.
