The Terra Linda/Sleepy Hollow Divide Fuel Reduction Zone project will create a contiguous fuel reduction zone (where flammable, dense, and/or non-native vegetation and/or downed and woody debris will be reduced) between open space and structures located in the Terra Linda, Mont Marin, and Sun Valley neighborhoods of San Rafael. The fuel reduction zone will be approximately 8 miles in length and span 26 acres on parcels owned and managed by Marin County Parks and Open Space District and City of San Rafael. The fuel reduction zone will be limited to approximately 100-150 feet from structures in open space areas and will focus on areas not accessible by goat grazing.
