The West Marin Zone Blueberry Ridge Fuel Reduction Project expands and maintains a fuel reduction zone along the perimeter of the community of Woodacre. The project will improve vegetation clearance by reducing wildfire fuels in up to 25 acres along the approximately 1.1-mile-long fire road between San Geronimo Drive and the community of Woodacre. Fire-hazardous vegetation consisting of dead and downed trees and branches would be targeted. Hazardous trees (e.g., dead or dying trees) identified by an arborist or qualified fire professional may also be removed within the fuel reduction zone. No healthy, mature, scenic trees would be removed under this project. Fuel reduction zone treatments would avoid wetted streams and wetlands within the project area.
